As a
participant of The Virginia Rally, you will have an
opportunity to ride your bike on the same race
course that the pros will be racing on later that day. The
beautiful 17-turn North Course of Virginia International
Raceway is 2.25 miles of smooth, curvy, & hilly pavement, with
the semi-famous "Roller Coaster" section (which, by the
way, has a very strong resemblance to the famed "Corkscrew" at
Laguna Seca).
Don't press your
luck in the turn 1 "Horseshoe", and be careful at turn 2
because there is no banking in "NASCAR Bend".
Concentrate through 4 & 5 or you'll feel like somebody just gave
you a strong "Left Hook", and don't let the "Snake" bite you through
5a, 6, and 6a. I think you get the picture, so I'll stop right
there...
Have fun, see what
the racers see, but remember, no wheelies, stoppies, or excessive
speed, or you WILL be escorted off the grounds and not be permitted
back in for the remainder of the weekend...not cool!
Oh yeah, click
anywhere on the track map to be taken to an inter-active aerial
view of Virginia International Raceway. It's pretty
cool........just make sure to HIT
YOUR "BACK" ARROW WHEN YOUR DONE (or else you will
close-out of The Virginia Rally web
site). |
